Spectroquant® Methods Package for the VISIONlite® UV/Vis Applications Software
Merck Spectroquant® test kits substantially reduce the work for photometric procedures for example in environmental and food analysis. With the specifically developed Spectroquant method package, users of the VISIONlite spectrometer software can apply these methods instantaneously.
VISIONlite is the basic PC applications software for Thermo Scientific UV/Vis- and Vis-spectrophotometers. VISIONlite includes software modules for scanning, time-dependent and fixed wavelengths measurements and quantitative analysis. Methods are used to automatically record the required data from the instrument and present the results. Data and results can be printed or stored.
The Spectroquant methods package designed for VISIONlite comprises nearly 400 methods for the VISIONlite Quant module. The methods are evoked and used with standard software procedures. In addition all Merck Spectroquant operation procedures and package inserts are installed and can be viewed by the user on the screen.
The VISIONlite Spectroquant methods are truly ready-to-use. Only those methods which are based on turbidity as the measurement effect must be calibrated instrument specifically once by the user. Also l other methods can be recalibrated by the user if required.
By running the Spectroquant methods directly from the VISIONlite applications software specific advantages are gained: - unlimited number of methods and results,
- long, alphanumerical sample names and result file names, - easy modification of methods with a graphical presentation of the calibration curve,
- fully documented report with user name, instrument number, date and time, etc., - optional, direct transfer to a data management environment.
The methods hold these data for all Merck Spectroquant reagent kits: - designation of the analyte, - measurement wavelength, - calibration data as recommended by Merck,
- concentration unit and numerical output format.
When using a VISIONlite Spectroquant method the software first will prompt the user to perform an autozero. Then the samples name and dilution will be queried. These data will be summarized with all readings and
results for a sample series. The analytical report can be printed or stored on disk. Methods are also compatible with the sampling accessories sipper and cell changer.
